Please be aware that Independent Speech and Language Therapists charge for everything they do for your child. This may include; Initial assessment session, therapy sessions, phone calls or meetings with parents/carers/school staff to discuss the therapy plan, report writing, resource making and more.

What is Teletherapy/Why do it?

Teletherapy means sessions delivered through technology such as Zoom.

Teletherapy is a great way to get around the commute however it takes a lot more planning for the SLT than the typical session as specific resources have to be created for each session.

This means that in any location you can technically access teletherapy however it will need to be decided with the SLT whether this is appropriate for each child in question.

Please note that depending on need, it may still be required to have a face-to-face initial assessment appointment unless otherwise discussed with the SLT.
